It’s all about the kids!
The Rules

- Three outs or one time through the batting order.
- 4-strike rule … nice try … get them next time.
- Ties go to the defense (not the runner).

- Scoreboard – 10+ run lead – turn off score, continue to track innings and outs.

The rules are put in place to make it a rewarding experience for all the players in the league. If the rules are not being followed, it is the responsibility of the manager and the coaching staff to address it with the opposing coach. It is not tolerable for a parent to confront an opposing coach under any circumstance. Any complaints should be addressed to Ron Frisk (rfrisk@markfacey.com or 860-940-5553).
Ron says:
… The one constant that I have seen through the years has been that you, the parents, are more concerned about who wins and loses than the kids. I cannot reiterate the importance of the Farm League, like T-ball, is not about winning and losing, it’s about the kids learning the game and having an enjoyable experience.
I ask each of you to join our efforts by remaining in control while watching the games. When the game is over, the majority of kids have smiles on their faces, win or lose. Remember this is all about the kids.
Every parent should have received a copy of these rules (a blue brochure) and a Sport Parent Code of Conduct (a green flyer). If you do not have either of them, please see Coach Nick ASAP.
