All Star Game Weekend

The Teams

The Diamondbacks will be split up amongst the teams to fill the rosters. Here’s who are guys are playing with.

Team 1: As + Cardinals + Nick Halkias
Team 2: Rangers + Cubs + Adam Willametz
Team 3: White Sox + Mets + Ryan Ashe & Emma Hinchcliffe
Team 4: Yankees + Giants + Dylan Daniels
Team 5: Red Sox + Orioles

The Schedule

Saturday, June 21

• 9:30 am: Game One: Team 1 vs Team 2
• 11:30 am: Lunch: Home Run Derby / Relay Race / 2nd Base Throws
• 1:30 pm: Game Two: Team 3 vs Team 4
• 3:30 pm: Game Three: Team 5 vs Game 1 Loser

Sunday, June 22

• 11:00 am: Game Four: Game 1 Winner vs Game 2 Winner
• 12:30 pm: Game Five: Team 5 vs Game 2 Loser
• 2:00pm: Game Six: Title Game featuring top two teams with the Best Record/Most Runs Scored

The Rules

1. We will be using minor-league rules
2. Kids will pitch entire game and can strike out kids
3. Walks – TBD (6 balls or NO walks)
4. All Teams will play at least 2 games, with 2 playing 3 (last game)
5. Do best to play kids as equally as possible

More Information

• Seeking concession volunteers – 1 from each team for each game.
• May be getting a cake
• Lunchtime 06/21 is 11:30 to 1:30, including HR Derby / Relay Race / Throws from 2nd base to hit 5 gallon bucket at home plate (top 3 in derby and throws will get packs of baseball cards)

Cubs Game Postponed Again

Boy, it was just too hot today to play! We’ll let you know when this game has been rescheduled (if at all).

See you Saturday for the game against the Yankees, which will be followed by the Pool Party!

Today’s Game Against the Cubs Postponed

Today’s game against the Cubs was called due to the lightening and rain.  We have rescheduled it for Monday (tomorrow) night at 5:30 @ McGee.

Don’t forget to bring lots and lots to drink, should we attempt to play!

Friday Practice Cancelled

This Friday’s (5/30) practice has been cancelled.

Please show up to Saturday’s 11am game against the Red Sox one hour beforehand (10am) so we can get in some batting and fielding practice.

If the Saturday game is postponed due to bad weather, please come early on Sunday (11am) before the noontime game against the Yankees.

Friday 5/16 Game Postponed

Today’s game against the White Sox was rained out and has been rescheduled for Monday, May 19 at 5:30pm @ McGee. This is instead of the practice we had previously scheduled.

In other news:

• After Sunday’s picture day, we will have a short practice (place TBD), so bring your gloves, etc.
• The other White Sox game that was postponed earlier this month, has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 17th @ 5:30 at Dennehy.

New May Practices Scheduled

Coach Nick has added some May dates to our practice schedule.

Also, note that the Saturday, May 17th game has been moved to Friday, May 16th @ 5:30. This game against the White Sox will be played at Willard School (not Dennehey)!

Practice at McGee on Monday 5/5

Come to McGee for a practice at 5:45 PM. Bring your baseball equipment and something to drink!

Saturday’s 5/3 Game Postponed

Due to bad field conditions from yesterday’s rain and today’s persistent mist, our game against the White Sox has been postponed. See you Monday at practice!

We’ve been invited to battle the Red Sox on Tuesday, April 22 (behind Willard) and the Orioles (at Dennehy) on Friday, April 25 for some pre-season action. Go D-Backs!
